The compact 1U device features Tilera's powerful TILEPro64™ processor, expandable memory, and multiple 10Gb and 1Gb network interfaces, speeding time-to-market for embedded applications.
The 64-core TILEPro64 processor's versatility and C/C++ programmability enables this platform to perform a variety of computing-intensive tasks such as:
- Intrusion prevention systems (IPS)
- Virus & spam-filtering at data rates of 10 to 20Gbps
- Network monitoring and network forensics applications
- Audio and video transcoding
- Video conference bridging
The TILEmpower platform offers multiple configurations for its high-speed interfaces, including a dual 10Gb, plus dual 1Gb Ethernet version and a 12-port 1Gb, plus one 10Gb Ethernet uplink port version.
The baseline platform provides two 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports for management connectivity and an 8-lane PCI Express 2.0 expansion slot that allows accelerator or advanced I/O cards to be added. For applications requiring mass storage, the TILEmpower supports two optional internal SATA hard disk drives.
