Engineering Technician

SUMMARY / SCOPE OF POSITION

Test and debug PCB assemblies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Under minimum supervision, perform technical testing of moderately complex assemblies.
  • Work from schematics, technical manuals and verbal/written instructions.
  • Solder surface mount components including 0402, 0603 and 0805 and SOIC.
  • Be proficient with a broad variety of electrical test equipment.
  • Receive guidance from engineers.
  • Procure parts and tools necessary to complete the projects assigned.
  • Run moderately complex to complex tests on prototypes and components. Record test data. Prepare detailed reports and summaries regarding test data.
  • Ability to utilize analytical and mathematical skills appropriate to responsibilities.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

ASEE, ASET or equivalent experience. Three to five years minimum electronics assembly, and test experience, especially with optical equipment.

DFT Engineer

SUMMARY / SCOPE OF POSITION

Design-For-Test Engineer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience defining DFT specifications and implementation details for large VLSI chips
  • Experience working within and modifying RTL and DV flows (Cadence NCVerilog/Specman preferred) to generate ATE test patterns required.
  • Experience defining and implementing full chip scan architectures preferred.
  • Experience with ATPG pattern generation, verification, and transfer to ATE , using stuck-at, transition, and path delay fault models is required. Experience with scan compression tools a plus (Mentor FastScan and/or TestKompress preferred).
  • BIST architecture definition and integration from 3rd party tools required. Experience with BIST engine design highly preferred.
  • Hands-on ATE experience and test program creation a plus (Verigy 93k preferred).
  • Experience defining and implementing test architectures for high speed interfaces (SERDES and DDR memory) a plus.
  • Experience writing and using BSDL models and IEEE 1149.1 & 1149.6 a plus.
  • Experience specifying system-level bring up /debug features on silicon to enhance the system bring up a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

BSEE required, MSEE preferred, 5+ years experience in COT/ASIC DFT.

Senior SQA Engineer - Tools / System Test

SUMMARY / SCOPE OF POSITION

We are looking to expand our QA team with a Senior QA Engineer who has expert Networking, Driver and OS/embedded OS testing skills. Candidate will be responsible for developing / maintaining a comprehensive network and system performance test infrastructure that will ensure ease of maintenance, rapid automated benchmark test case development, and efficient reporting of results and analysis. Duties include working closely with Development in understanding and defining performance and system level test requirements and developing new performance, stress and soak test scenarios including developing guidelines, documentation, and training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Generate and execute manual and automatic test cases and report findings appropriately.
  • Setup, configure and manage complex test scenarios to verify a variety of real world networking and performance related scenarios.
  • Work with Other QA engineers to instrument and qualify real world test deployments as well as stress and performance using industry standard open source tools.
  • Create test plans and test procedures from specs and requirements documents, build and enforce proper QA work process and methodology, and have the drive and ability to meet test objectives according to plan with quality.
  • Must be comfortable multi-tasking - performing test verification on multiple code streams. Lead multiple test assignments and deliver quality and quantity of test coverage.
  • Work with Off-shore engineering organizations to help train in proper test practices as well as to help triage initial bug arrivals.
  • 5 years+ experience in QA of Networking equipment.
  • Experience working with Open source tools and technologies.
  • Expertise with open source Networking analysis tools such as TCPdump , wireshark, RRDtool, netperf, TCP replay or similar open source utilities.
  • Strong understanding of Networking, VLANS and TCP/IP.
  • Expertise with Ixia, Netcom Smartbits or other traffic generation. Test equipment.
  • Knowledge of Linux and Linux utilities.
  • Fluent in manual testing, automated testing, white box and black box testing and working in an "Agile" development environment.
  • Testing API's and SDK's by developing Test apps and test harnesses for end to end test validation preferred.
  • Knowledge of C/C++/Java and developing test programs both using & testing Eclipse/GNU compiler/debugger highly preferred.
  • Comfortable with both PC and Linux environments.
  • Experience in testing of Embedded Operating systems a plus.
  • Experience with open source networking applications such as Snort, nProbe, netfilter/IPTables a plus.
  • Commercial experience with XML, HTML, PHP, MySQL (LAMP platform) a plus.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of BSCS or BSEE or equivalent, 5+ years relevant working experience.
