Industry Veteran, Ken Way, Joins Tilera as VP of Sales Americas
SAN JOSE, Calif., May 19, 2009 - Tilera® Corporation today announced that it has appointed industry veteran Ken Way to the position of Vice President of Sales for the Americas territory. Way, who was most recently Director of EMEA and Strategic Global Accounts Sales at Cavium Networks, will report to Bill Sweeney, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Tilera Corporation.

Way has over 15 years of semiconductor sales and marketing experience, during which he has shown a consistently successful record of growing revenue and market share, increasing account penetration, building sales organizations, and contributing over $3B of lifetime revenue in the design win pipeline. In his recent role at Cavium, Way implemented strategies to further penetrate the EMEA territory and rolled out the Strategic Global Accounts Program. In his career at Freescale, Way served as Global Account Director for Cisco Systems and later in roles as Director of US National Sales and Western Region Sales, where his teams secured design wins totaling well over $1B of lifetime revenues. At Freescale, Way drove successful market and customer alignment strategies that were recognized by customers such as Cisco, where Freescale was awarded the highly coveted “Preferred” supplier status. In addition, Way has successfully built and led World Class teams that have received numerous awards, including Cisco's Excellence in Supplier Account Team Service, and Arrow Electronics' Bay Area Supplier Team of the Year.
Way started his career at Motorola Semiconductor (now Freescale) in various marketing and sales positions. He later joined Trinity Technologies as Senior Field Sales Engineer focusing on Cisco Systems and had a brief stay at PA Semi as Senior Director of Sales before the company was acquired by Apple. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Microelectronic Engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
