Solutions Architect

Tilera, a multicore processor silicon vendor, seeks qualified candidates who are familiar with embedded computing
architectures to validate and optimize solutions around Tilera systems.

Technical Customer Interface

  • Responsible for pre-sales selected pre-sales technical interactions with tier 1 and strategic emerging customers. Pre-sales deep dive customer meetings will be supported where broad applications knowledge in the specific verticals is needed.
  • Mentor and train technical team members so they can interface effectively with customers, and back up the FAE team with deep expertise.
  • Advise the Sales team with “Tilera-side” technical project/account management of design wins.
  • Serve as a technical resource for the outbound Tilera team
  • Own recommending targeted solutions for different customers in the form of technical proposals. A solution consists of an entire system, SW, HW, etc.

Vertical Market Expertise

Provide expert knowledge in one or more
of the following market verticals, at the system level.

  • Wireless Communications infrastructure – Base station to the core network
  • Multimedia Systems – Infrastructure, endpoints, SW, and next generation technologies
  • Networking – Access, edge, and core networking, plus security systems
  • Cloud Computing – Web data center and related server appliances

Identification of New Verticals / Markets

Identifying new market sub-segments, and in some cases new verticals, that are a good fit for current Tilera technology, or will be a good fit for next generation Tilera technology.

Software and Applications Feedback

Identify missing SW and Applications functionality, and provide feedback to the SW and applications team. Provide technical advice and expertise to enable the company to develop ecosystems for selected applications.

New Product Definition

Provide device, applications and customer knowledge and direction to help architect and devise next generation solutions from Tilera. Work closely with Tilera design and leadership teams to steer next generation device architectures, integration and offloads functions aimed at improving market share and market penetration in selected verticals.

Requirements

  • Linux experience, both at the application environment and embedded levels
  • Ability to write code, develop and execute test and debug frameworks
  • Minimum 5 years experience in embedded or computing software development
  • Solid C/C++ programming and analytical skills
  • Experience with multi-threaded or multi-processing systems is highly desired
  • Knowledge of multicore architectures and ability to translate customer application requirements into processor feature requirements is a strong plus
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
  • Minimum education: BS in CS, EE or equivalent with well-rounded engineering skills
  • Excellent technical communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Effective team player who can work productively in a team environment, including hardware and system architects, application developers, and marketing
  • Ability to effectively train FAE team on applications solutions and how they relate to Tilera multicore products
  • Currently authorized to work full-time in the USA

Location and Travel

  • Desired location is either Westborough, MA, San Jose, CA, or China
  • Some travel may be necessary between Tilera’s development sites, or in limited cases to customer sites
