Applications Engineer - Networking

Tilera, amulticore processor silicon vendor, seeks qualified Applications Engineerswho are familiar with embedded computing architectures to validate andoptimize networking solutions around Tilera-based systems.
Embedded SoftwareEngineer who will work with limited supervision and is responsible forthe development, testing, documentation, and analysis of L4-L7 networkingapplications in C on Linux.
The candidatewill work with various open source applications and be able to optimizethose applications for the specific Tilera hardware and software architectures.
There willbe some limited development of applications for demonstration and proof-of-conceptpurposes to Tilera’s silicon customers.

Linux experience,both at the application environment and embedded levels
Ability towrite code, develop and execute test and debug frameworks
Strong abilityto document work and results, especially related to performance
Minimum 5years experience in coding L4-L7 (Routing, Switching, Firewall, SLB,IPS) applications. Fast path (NPU) coding experience is highly desirable
Network/protocolexperience is a must
Solid C/C++programming and analytical skills
Java and/orPHP experience
Experiencewith multi-threaded or multi-processing systems is highly desired
Knowledgeof multicore architectures and ability to translate customer applicationrequirements into processor feature requirements is a strong plus
Excellentinter-personal and communication skills
Minimum education:BS in CS, EE or equivalent with well-rounded engineering skills
Excellenttechnical communication skills, both written and spoken.
Effectiveteam player who can work productively in a team environment, includinghardware and system architects, application developers, and marketing
Ability toeffectively train FAE team on applications solutions and how they relateto Tilera multicore products
Currentlyauthorized to work full-time in the USA

Desired locationis either Westborough, MA, San Jose, CA, or China
Some travelmay be necessary between Tilera’s development sites, or in limitedcases to customer sites
